About Sangiovese
The variety Sangiovese has a very large family which originated in Tuscany but it’s production is now spread across most of the middle and southern regions of Italy and right around the world.  Sangiovese is the main variety used in the famous Chianti Classico wines of Tuscany.

MDC Sangiovese
Our Sangiovese has a savoury and meaty nose with slightly dusty cherry and plum fruit and a palate showing hallmark fine but firm tannins, this could almost be from Tuscany! Sangiovese is terrifically versatile with food and can match everything from pasta to rich meat dishes.
