About Tempranillo
The Tempranillo variety occupies 31,046 hectares of cultivated land, which represents 61% of the D.O.Ca Rioja in north central Spain.  It is considered to be a species indigenous to the Rioja region and its Spanish origin is internationally recognised.  It is now cultivated in most wine growing countries in the world.

MDC Tempranillo
The wine is medium weight with a nose showing plenty of bright cherry and berry fruit with savoury and grilled-hazelnutty undertones.  The palate is nicely structured with excellent fruit weight and length and fine ripe tannins.  This is  a very versatile wine able to match an antipasto plate, tapas and charcuterie or spicy foods with lots of flavour.
